Busy Season
Street Law Awards
The first event that kicked off our Spring 2025 busy season was the Street Law Awards. Many of you know that Street Law was one of my very first consulting clients–they hired me back when I was a teacher. Every year, Street Law programs advance civic education and law-related education here in the US and abroad. We counted… this was my eighteenth year producing this event. The cherry on top was that one of my very own students from my teaching days, Molly Martinez, was the emcee.
America Abroad Media 12th Anniversary Gala
The following week, we were back at The Fairmont for our second event of the season. We were so grateful to our colleagues at The Fairmont for accommodating us when the previous venue became unavailable just six weeks before. Isn’t it interesting how lighting and set design can transform a space so much! At the AAM Awards, they honor leaders whose work exemplifies the power of media to inform, educate, and empower.
Yoga Alliance HQ Days
After AAM, we switched gears to Yoga Alliance’s annual team retreat, which is hosted at their office in Arlington, VA. We have loved the work of evolving this retreat over the past few years–from a “return to work” initiative to a fully developed professional development and team building experience.
American Task Force on Lebanon Gala
Our next event took us back to the Andrew W Mellon Auditorium for the first time since 2019 (when we were there with AAM!). The Mellon is a beautiful space to celebrate our wonderful clients' work. ATFL is an organization made up of prominent Americans of Lebanese heritage who work to strengthen the historic ties between the United States and Lebanon.
Tewaaraton Awards
The following week we had the pleasure of working with a new client in a venue that was also new to us! The Tewaaraton Award is an annual honor presented to the most outstanding college lacrosse player in the United States, both men and women. It's often referred to as the lacrosse equivalent of the Heisman Trophy in football. We were excited to be a part of producing a broadcast, and to experience the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian from an event perspective.
Leadership Now Project
Annual Meeting
The morning after Tewaaraton, I hopped on a train to New York City to prep for our next event. The Leadership Now Project is a membership organization of business leaders committed to protecting democracy as a foundation for a thriving economy and political stability. We loved working at the top of Hearst Tower–with stunning views and engaging content, this event is always a highlight for the team.
PHA Good Food For All Summit
For this year's PHA Good Food For All Summit, we really leaned into the vibrant colors of fresh produce, working with our friends at Occasions to provide fresh fruit centerpieces and adding a fun element of "produce" songs for stage transitions. Speakers were delighted to walk on to Raspberry Beret, Green Onion, Peaches, Watermelon Sugar and more.
